As of June 30, Google is completely closing its doors to Flash-based ads on AdWords.
Many companies, especially Facebook and YouTube, are collaborating to eliminate Adobe Flash completely. Security vulnerabilities encountered in Flash in the last few years left users and companies in a difficult situation. The Flash, which is constantly being patched , is slowly becoming a thing of the past and, according to analysis, it will disappear completely after two years. Google pulled Flash with a clear statement on the subject. The company will completely eliminate the use of Flash in AdWords ads in one year.
Google will now completely use HTML5 infrastructure on AdWords pages. The transition from Flash to HTML5 will also apply to DoubleClick Digital Marketing and will be delivered gradually. In fact, from June 30, 2016, Flash-based ads will not be able to be uploaded to AdWords.
From the beginning of next year (January 2), the display of Flash ads will be completely discontinued. For now, video ads shown with Flash players will not be affected by the decision. Flash, which consumes the system resources of web browsers, will thus be disabled.
